Sarah Roe is a licensed clinical social worker in Raleigh, North Carolina. She has been a practicing therapist for over 25 years and has experience working with a wide array of therapeutic issues and problems to include anxiety, depression, relationship problems, addiction, ACOA/codependency issues, parenting of special needs children, caregiver stress, anger management, trauma work, stress management, coping with chronic pain/illness and grief and loss.Sarah earned her bachelors degree in Psychology from Clemson University. She graduated with her Masters in Social Work with a cumulative GPA of 4.0 from the University of Georgia. She has extensive experience in the provision of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, (DBT), both as a skills group facilitator and as an individual DBT therapist. Her approach is essentially eclectic in nature drawing from humanistic, cognitive behavioral and psychodynamic approaches. Recent interests include the use of DBT/mindfulness techniques in treatment of depression, anxiety and/or substance abuse in adolescents.
A native North Carolinian, Sarah currently lives in Raleigh with her 9 year old son and 2 cats. In her free time she enjoys listening to live music, singing and camping. Clients and colleagues have described her as warm, ethical, compassionate and intuitive.
